Today, Sara announced that she wanted a smart phone. I said you don't know how to use one; to which she replied "I'll learn." That's where it went downhill. I reminded her of the laptop I bought her so she could learn how to use it that sits in the closet since a week after it was purchased 2 years ago; the shotgun I bought so she could learn turkey hunting with me that has sat in the gun safe since the day after I bought it 8 years ago; the compound bow that I bought three years ago so she could learn how to deer hunt; and the golf cart I bought her 5 years ago so she could use it to drive around the farm that has sat in the garage except when I take it out and run around with it. She hasn't spoken to me for about 3 hours now. I will not buy her a smart phone and am wondering how long this blissful silence will last......
Oh, I forgot the $500 Trek bicycle that she rode once and it has been hanging in the garage for almost 10 years.
My guess is your the type that finishes what you start and that's what attracted her to you with hopes you'd help her in these area. Much like you would a young daughter. Buy her the phone then patiently teach her how it works and how best it might work for her. Help her achieve her goals. IMO. I'm sure our wives can go on about simple we can't master
She says she wants to keep all the other stuff in case she changes her mind now. Before, I could sell her bow, not now.
Im looking for a bike, what kind is it? Hybrid, mountain bike, cruiser? :D sent from my samsung note 2
Buy her a phone. How much crap do you have accumulated in the forms of treestands, guns, bows, camo, fishing poles, tackle, etc...
There really isn't any way your going to win. She will eventually get the phone so you have to decide how much you are willing to suffer before she gets it.
