I have never smoked or chewed but but my mother killed her self smoking, she would smoke and her arms would turn blue as a smurf, but she could not stop smoking and it took her life, my dad died in the driveway after driving out after a snow storm to get her beer and smokes he got off in a ditch and walked about a mile and fell in the driveway and died from a heart attack. she went about a year after that.

    Smoking kills.

Tim, if you quit smoking I have a 350 inch set of elk sheds, my personal nicest finds as a set...that I would love to give you as a token of how much it means to me that you can stop, because I know how much it means to your family. I wish there was more that I could do to help. Your a great friend, I hope you can stop.

I chew Levi in the when its cool or cold out, but when its hot theres nothing I want less. Its nice to throw a dip in when driving somewhere, and when working construction. I might go through a bag every 2 weeks or so, sometimes longer.

I've never chewed/dipped/smoked a cig. I plan on never doing any of the 3. Good job to the people that have quit and good luck to those trying to quit!

Dont know how I found this thread but am sure glad I did. I have chewed for a year and a half and cant quit. Recently I found a product called oregon mint snuff and it has helped out but I have cheated and continued chewing. I have till May 21 of this year to quit completely because the fiance says she wont marry me if I am still chewing. It helps seeing people's stories and hearing that people quit. It helps me tremendously. I am gonna try this all natural mint snuff stuff a lot harder. It has no nicotine, tobacco, or bad chemicals. I really want to quit this stuff. Its pointless and stupid. Thanks everyone for your stories.

If the mint stuff doesn't work out for you, try a product called Bacc Off. My friend is trying to quit chewing Copenhagen, and he is chewing this stuff. Says its just tea leaves

    Here is how I quit-

    One bottle of Miller Lite
    Once can of Kodiak

Proceed to put contents of can into mouth while washing down with Ice Cold Miller Lite. You will puke so damn bad that the thought of chewing will make you want to vomit. It was far worse than the gum transplant I had;)

Raceway, we used to dip on the way out to the bars in college. We had a great tradition we did out of love.....we used to slap an unexpecting guy on the back when he was dipping. And then the puking began....hahahahaha.

I am not going to harp on this too much longer but I went to my friends funeral today. She was a long time smoker and died as a result. Prior to the funeral I was at an auto shop and some guy was sitting in his car with the window slightly cracked smoking a cigarette. I just wanted to let him know about those nasty things as my mind was on the looming funeral. I just drove off. Take care guys and if you can quit the dip or cigarettes, please do it. Your loved ones will thank you.
