    Which do you like better, a toasted cheese sandwich, or a grilled cheese sandwich? I watched a show at 3:30 this morning where the Brits were swearing by the toasted cheese sandwich and the Americans by the grilled cheese. While you weigh in, I'm going to make one of the sandwiches they showed, a toasted cheese with gouda, cheddar, provolone, bacon and onions.

    grilled, with shredded extra sharp cheddar and spray butter is the best. We are actually having grilled cheese and home made chicken noodle soup tonight for dinner. nothing's better after a long day out in the snow.

    A native Michigander; I lived in Indiana for 20 years. Hoosiers say "cheese toasties". In all those years, it always irked me. Almost as bad as people saying "soda" instead of "pop." Hicks!

    I like to very slowly grill "fry" them with smoked gouda. Adding bacon and onion does sound good!
