I found the flashlight you dropped when you were tresspassing under my treestand. LOL Someone from the orange army will be missing his 100 dollar rechargable maglite I found by my stand along with what I estimate as size 13 tracks in the mud along the creek that runs by it. I just ordered a roll of 100 no tresspassing signs off ebay. time to get to posting I guess. The fence doesnt seem to work. This is the first time I have rifle hunted locally In 6 or 7 years and Im suprised at how much this happening on both the properties I hunt. Next year I am staying home to rifle hunt to keep tabs on things.
I have a question for you guys. I was told but have not checked on it yet that if I paint purple on the trees that this means no hunting or tresspassing period even for me. If a gamewarden was to catch even myself on the property with permission that I could get a ticket for hunting that property because it was marked no hunting. This sounds like BS but im not sure. Input please. Thanks
Never heard THAT about the purple paint... I've always taken it that it meant no trespassing for those that didn't have permission to be on it. I can't imagine it meaning what you said... but I have not seen the actual definition of the law where you live. But I'm pretty sure that here in Missouri it is simply a viable substitute for a "No Trespassing" sign.
I looked it up and found out what I already knew its BS. Im painting some trees soon. I have six kids who love to play in paint we should be able to cover some ground quickly. I will have the little monkeys do the hills while i do the flat areas.
Sucks about the trespassers, but hey, you got a nice flashlight! Good luck keeping the painting crew clean
Speaking from experience, a sign will last longer than paint on the bark of trees. Even if the signs are wood it will still last longer than when you paint straight on the bark of the tree. The bark absorbs most of it. You could just paint the fence posts, if they are metal thats a plus.
mud you just cant win this year huh? ha-ha I understand it sux! well at least you got a decent light out of the deal! did you and the property owner get things worked out?
You might need to spell out "no trespassing" with a sign instead of paint. There would be less confusion that way. :D
