If you count before 1936 Michigan has 11;)

No actually it comes with the experience of being there and knowing what it takes to be a champion. I'm still close enough to the program to know that the issues that exist won't allow for a championship quality team.

Princeton has 26, or something like that. So I think we all know who has the model program everyone strives to imitate.

That's after 1936 when the ap poll came out. Most do count those before.

Indiana will win 2 or 3 games, Wilson will get fired, nobody will care.

    Purdue will... oh who cares...

I just can't wait to get into football season!

So are you a PAC 10 or big east fan. I am not coming at you personally, but just pointing out everyone always says the SEC boasts and brags as a conference regardless of their teams record. Anytime a fan of a rival conference wants to sling mud you guys bring up articles like the one above. No where does it say big 10 but you use it to rock the SEC's boat.

I know when to AP started, the local nuts (bulldog fans) bring it up every year when claiming bama does not have 14. I say go by vito's statement, give those ivy league guys their just do, and it all counts. Does not help or hinder bama on game day at all. May help with Internet forum banter, but it means nothing on Saturday's.

I will say it again, I roll with the tide, and anyone playing Au Barn, or another team that can help our cause. After that I pick a side for each game for the heck of it. I am already nervous about Sept 1st, though most say I shouldn't be. See, if we loose Michigan, the big 10, big 12 and everyone else will crow.

I will make fun of if Bama if they lose, but it certainly would not be
    B1G boasting on my part.

You are the biggest winner of all, bama looses and you can make fun of us gumps...Michigan looses and well...you are happy about that no matter what. Lucky guy

Also, my statements were just stating the general hypocrisy of anything SEC related on both sides. One guy fired off in this thread about the SEC and we are still not sure who his squad is, lol

Yes, it will be a great game to watch for sure.... I think Forrest runs rampant on michigans front 7. I also think Bama will have a hard time containing Denards running. His arm punts aren't going to beat Bama.

12 years ago means very little in our "what have you done for me lately" world.

Plus, Michigan was a stronger program back then and Bama was not near the caliber they are today.

I've said it before and ill say it again. I never understood the whole conference pride thing. I cheer for a team not a conference.

Michigan has always fared nicely against the sec, had a good run against Florida as well. Like Scott said, two totally different programs meeting this time. Just an FYI for you guys, Bama's next in line Eddie lacy may not recover from turf toe. He has ligament damage and just had another surgery a few weeks back. If he is out, you get a true freshman in yeldon and a redshirt freshman in hart who is coming off major knee surgery.

Brad, conference boasting usually comes as a last line of defense when someone's team is not doing quite so well. No different than the number of Bama tags that are now on cars that have sported Florida tags for a few years, and uga tags before that.

I read Michigan allowed truphant (sp) back to practice with his suspension to be determined. Is this true, as I though Michigan was better than that:poke:. Don't tell me the pressure of playing little ol Bama has hoke going against his morally superior ways:evilgrin:
