It depends on a lot of things, but our southern coons, usually worth less than better furred northern coons, were averaging $15 green last year, green meaning skinned but not fleshed/dried. Some sold for a little of nothing due to spoilage, and some sold for nearly $30.

I like to think about it like this, how many hobbies can we make money on? Or even break even

Time for a night hunt. With that many, I'd be on the 12ga.

I look at coons at the feeder as evening entertainment: usually the .204 a Kill Light and off we go. It's a good time with a buddy, we sit about 100-150 yards out so we can sit and chat and enjoy cogars, pop the coon when he comes boppin in. (Similar strategy for pigs :D) Put a truckload of them down that way.

When you say coon hunting is that with a gun or hounds.
