Have to head down to in-laws place about 1.5 hours away today where I sometimes hunt at. I was just wondering if you thought it was to late to put a camera up, as in have the bucks already dropped their antlers?

The camera would be in SW Oklahoma if that helps.

Its never too late. On our land here in WI I would say about 35-40% of the bucks have dropped so far. I would think it would be less down in OK.

I have cameras out year round in NE KS, but I have not seen a single buck that has shed his antlers yet. I would say theres still time for you yet.

I was out this morning and pulled 4 cams had a few nice bucks still carrying there racks here in MO. I pulled them because of trespassers activity, rabbit hunters and shed hunters dont seem to understand property lines and i have lost plenty of stuff this year. Lots of people walking around so be careful and beware.

I pull mine by now, most but not of the bucks in my area have shed already. I dont have a reason to keep em put though the winter, taking them in saves wear and prevents theft. If I lived some place were I was still able to see some antlers for an inventory I would leave em out longer.

You can't get pics if the camera isn't out there! Put it out and good luck!

you're just wasting your warranty if you aren't using it...I'm currently checking on deer as a by product from predator scouting.
