That is the question. The landowner approached me today as I was walking in and asked me what I thought about two other guys starting to bowhunt the property. He told me that is was my decision and they would call me so I could talk to them. They currently hunt a neighboring property.

Now I saw two does this evening and those were the first deer I've seen since I shot my buck on Oct. 3rd. The property is only 40 acres w/ 30 of it in crops. It has a 7 acre section of old cow pasture on one end and a small 2 acre brushy wooded area w/ a creek on the other. I have a stand in the pasture and one outside the woods. I try to stay out of the woods in the hope that deer will bed there and move in and out of it. I'm trying to make the best of a small property before gun season. The landowner lets anyone push it at that point so it is dead after that. Have you ever seen 20 guys in WI push 2 acres of woods. Not pretty!

first thats not ground for three guys, i would ask the if you could hunt there ground and see how they react to your question. that may give you the answer you need.

it may be that $$ may have been offered to the landowner, and in that case lookout you may find yourself looking for a new place to hunt yourself.

yea, I would hate to tell someone no, but I have to agree. That's pretty small amount of land 4 three guys to hunt on. I hunt something similar w/my son, and that's pushing it.

Too small for that many people. I'd say no If It's up to you.

Only 40? I'd say nicely tell them....no. It's a little to small for 3 guys.

I like the idea of asking them if you can hunt their property. Personally, I am in a similar property situation (61 acres, 40 of it crops) I can get 2 others on the property with me if the wind is right, but I try to keep it to myself as it's just not enough for multiple hunters most of the time. When I do have more, they are friends and they hunt it the way that I want it hunted. I am not sure if you will get this from these other guys. Good luck.

Well I had to tell them tonight no. I felt bad because I know how hard it is to find a piece of property. I knocked on a lot of doors to get this. The guy told me he just moved to the area and has another spot but hasn't seen a deer yet(15 sits). Like I said earlier it was a month and more then 15 sits between deer sitings for myself. I don't know, I just didn't like being put in the middle between these guys and the landowner, but I had to "protect my spot". I told him if I ever go anywhere I'd let them know and took his name and #.
