I am looking at buying another bow. Looking at a used drenalin, dxt, or z7. Just limited on what I buy because I'm not looking to spend a fortune right now on a new one. Need another lone wolf too, haha, so does anybody have any input on the differences in these? Just looking for some input from someone who had shot any of them. Thanks

I love my Drenalin. When the DXT came out, I didn't feel much of a difference, certainly not enought to throw down on a new bow when mine was only a year old. I also shot the Z7. I didn't like the feel of the more aggressive cam. My dad bought an eZ7 last year. Basically a Z7 with a rounder cam like the DXT & Drenalin.

All 3 are nice bows. but you can probably find the Drenalin or DXT for less $$ :tu:

You could always go with a Mission too, same great Mathews warranty but cheaper....but I agree with fitz if those three the dxt and drenalin are gonna be more affordable.

I was leaning toward a drenalin. Little longer ata and I'm not short so the longer ata seems to fit me a lil better. Hope to find one soon. Thanks

Try to shoot them all. You will not choose the bow, the bow will choose YOU, Grasshopper. BAWOOOONG. Lol

Yeah I know that I should shoot them all first...but finding one to shoot is the problem. The shops around here only have new bows and rarely carry the older discontinued models.

I have a Drenalin and it has been a great bow. I thought about getting a z7 last year but opted not to. Then again this year I thought about getting a HeliM, but once again I convinced myself that it wasn't necessary. The Drenalin works just fine for me. I like what everyone else has said about shooting all that you can. I don't think you will go wrong with any of these though. Not sure where you're located, but I've seen quite a few of these listed on craigslist in my area. Just a thought.

You really can't go wrong with any one of the 3. Those are some of the most iconic bows Mathews have ever made, in the entire market in my opinion.

I have a z7x and love it. It's been bulletproof since the day I bought it and I'm not at all easy on it.

Sorry we can't be more help but essentially you're trying to pick a favorite child

Love the Drenalin. Had a hard time switching as I grew fond of it. I agree with those posting above; for being now 6 years old I believe Mathews hasn't changed their design much away from how they designed the Drenalin.

save a few more dollars and buy a Heli-M , IMO it's the best pure hunting now ever made and I've owned them all from Hoyt, PSE, Bowtech, Elite and Strothers.

Good bow...but for the money I can think of about 5 bows I'd rather buy w/all accessories (arrows included) and then also pick up a trail cam and maybe a stand for the same amount of cash it takes to get a bare Heli-M...just my opinion.

I've been shotting my DXT since they first came out. Got it when my Outback got stolen. I really like the bow. I should probably get it restrung soon.

Just purchased a drenalin. Hope it ships and gets here before Monday!!! I shot one at Scheels and fell in love and found the same bow for $125 less somewhere else. Any of you guys recommend custom strings? I'm going to replace mine after the season. I plan on putting a NAP apache on it. It has a biscuit now. Not a big fan but never shot one. Can't wait!!!
