I bowhunted last weekend on some new private I scored, saw 15 doe heads and 2 bucks, one 6 and one nice 8 at 40yds. no shot. This was in Illinois.

This weekend I am traveling back to my Michigan farm and muzzle gun hunting. My strategy right now is to get my butt out there and get after em', next to food.

OK bucko :d I finally figured out the Deer are way back farther from the food source than i expected. They are staging way back before heading that way and going to fields that are hiden from the road ;) And quit calling me a lurker :smash:

After last weekends second gun season in IL, I hope the deer have calmed down and are back on their regular patterns. I am going to watch some food sources and see what happens.

I talked to the neighbor last Sunday evening. Saturday evening he saw 22 deer on their milo and turnip food plot. Sunday from the same stand he saw 3 deer. And he says he didn't spook them leaving Saturday. That doesn't sound like much of a pattern.
