I heard on the radio this morning that it looks like all of our politicians who are working on our "fiscal cliff" probably won't come to an agreement any time in the near future.....in fact, a lot of them are going home early for the Christmas break ? Basically, the way I see it, they are not doing the job that they are being paid to do and in the meantime they are leaving all of the people they are supposed to be working for, you and I, in a lurch !!!
If these same people were in the private sector, most if not all of them would be fired for not doing their jobs !!
I know it's easy to stand here and say lets fire them all, and I have been doing my part to try to do some of that when I vote at the elections, but it just wears you down knowing that at times we are fighting a losing battle.

OK, thats my little rant for the morning....carry on !

I hope they do not come to an agreement. The truth is that government needs to spend less and if given more revenue they will spend it. I say stop paying Congress and the President until there is a balanced budget passed and an amendment to the Constitution that does not exclude them or any other entity from the laws they pass.

I think this is a win-win for Obama. If the republicans don't cave... then we go over the 'cliff' and taxes will go up, the economy tanks further... things will look grim. Obama and the Dems will blame the republicans. Then Obama can step in and give us the 'Obama tax cuts' which would be just like the expired 'Bush tax cuts' but they would sock-it to the 'rich'. The media will further portray him as the Saviour, saving us from 'the party of no'. ;)

If the republicans cave and give Obama what he wants.. well he wins right off the bat.

I'm stocking up on ammo and filling my trailer with food and water. I'll be ready for the revolution.
