I am new to the idea of shed hunting. Are there any tips on going out and making it easier to find sheds?

Try to find areas where you know the deer are going to be in the winter. Look for bedding areas, southern facing slopes or hillsides( they get the most sun in the winter). Follow fence lines and look for creek crossings. Since you are in Kansas bring some binos to glass fields to save on walking. An overcast is much better for spotting them then a sunny day. Also doesn't hurt to put out a camera to see if the deer holding head gear still.
