Have good back cover. Something wider than you. and DONT MOVE. Its very important to sit completely still. You dont have the longer viewing range that the treestand has so deer seem to pop out of nowhere. Those foam cushions are nice to sit on. Keeps the cold ground from sucking the heat out of you.

Especially with a new blind, that deer haven't been exposed to yet...take your first shot as soon a possible. I noticed deer sometime times come in and it seem they see the blind and it doesn't bother them...then all of a sudden they notice it and clicks that it's new or out of place...and then it's harder to get a shot off.

    Stay out of direct sunlight.
Have plenty of front and back cover.
Bring small seat that still keeps you low to the ground but practice shooting from it if you can. Could even use small log to sit on.
Practice drawing to make sure you don't get caught on any small branches, etc.

Glass in .. move slowly. Glass a lot. This will help you see farther and plan your moves accordingly. Don't stink. Be quiet and listen. Ensure your clothing is quiet and clear of the string at full draw. Get in prior to sunrise and stay until you can't see anymore. Move slowly once you acquire the buck. He will be way ahead of you because he is better than you are. This is what it's all about. Good Luck!

Try to anticipate your shots and where your shooting lanes will be. And be ready to draw early and hold it.

Clean all the leaves away from under yourself before you sit down, Trying to draw quietly in a giant bowl of Cornflakes is next to impossible.
