I honestly hate spell check. Could a mod please fix the thread title to save me from feeling like an idiot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Wear black I usually sit towards the back of the blind Practice shooting from the blind Try to place the blind facing north or south (so the sun doesn't shine into the blind) Use some of the surrounding brush or branches to help blend the blind in Good luck!
Excellent advise brush the corners of the blind in really good so it doesnt look like a camo box and brush the front up to the windows ive had deer rub against the side of my blind and hawks land right infront of my window
Keep any window your not going to shoot out of closed .. Especially the ones behind you I use safety pins and old camo netting to make my own window closers ... Makes it easy to reopen if necessary Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
For deer, rake the leaves away so that they don't make noise- but not too far! I rake them to the side bc they work as a great cover scent!
All good advice! I killed my largest buck last year out of a double bull. I brushed it in, kept the rear windows down, and made a small path around it. Wore black and stayed out of the windows. Best hunt I've had! SCFox
If possible, try to hunt from one that has vertical windows. Really Really helps for a bow. Also like someone else said, get rid of some leaves and brush from the bottom of the blind- keeps the noise down. Make sure you camo up and control your scent well, after all you are now level with the deer. When you first get all set up make sure you draw your bow just to double check your arm isn't hitting the back of the blind or anything like that. I really like hunting on of a ground blind, almost as much as hunting out of a treestand. Its crazy how close the deer can get! Good luck!
Wear black, only open perpindicular windows just enough, remember your optic fiber pins will not be glowing when you have to shoot.
I am not trying to be a smart @$$...be careful when you shoot so you don't shoot the blind below the window.
This is a nice benefit of the lighted fiber optic sights. However, I bought one that wasn't adjustable and it's WAY too bright. So I took some electrical tape and covered up a lot of the light so the sight is just the right brightness for me. I've heard of people doing this before and completely throwing off their shots Good post.
