Just wanted to know what techniques everyone uses. Whether it be calling or scents. I hunt on a small farm in Indiana and no deer bed here. Its basically used as a funnel that deer will cross through from the properties on both sides of the farm I hunt on. Mature bucks do not frequent the farm as a regular stomping ground, however I did harvest a P&Y 9 pointer last year here. It was the biggest I have seen on this farm. I was very surprised to see him. He actually came in about 20 min after I was trying to call a doe back to me using doe and fawn bleats (which never works) LOL. There are does that cross through on a regular basis and I have seen a few small bucks so far this year. What techniques do you guys like for pre rut and rut to lure the big boys in?
