Hey all, so I have a question. Let's you start dating lady that's a bartender. Well she wants you to come visit her at work. Naturally you'll have drink... so then what?
Do you assume it's a hook up? Do you pay? How much do you tip?
You don't want to look cheap, but you don't want to flaunt your money... just curious what you all think.

I would pay and tip what I would normally tip.

You better tip well. I would tip more than usually would.

I'm a sucker for a pretty bartender, waitress, etc. So, I tip very well in those instances.

A picture in this case might be in order, of course the quality and frequency of service weighs in too, if both are good, about half a truck payment sounds about right to me.

tip her xtra and then she should tell you otherwise. after about your second or third time in, she'll say dont worry about it. just be carful when you're there and other guys (or her co-workers) start flirting/hitting on her. kinda the nature of the job.... IMO

Yes you have to pay for your drinks, The tipping part is tricky but I would tip her until you move to the next level or she tells you not to tip her

Fact. Tip well my friend and reap the benefits. Word of advice....this is not a girl you want to be around for an extended time. It will end in drama. My experiences with bartenders is that they are usually playing "slap and tickle" with more than one fella at a time. Hook up, have your fun, and then go on to the next bar.

Indeed, so I wouldn't worry too much about this. Do what needs to be done to handle your business, and be on your merry way. There is no long term future. Plenty have played ball on this court before you called next.

Edit: Just saw 2 lunger's post and I'm happy to say we agreed on something. This shouldn't go unnoted.

I agree, but I'd probably just avoid hooking up with a bartender to start with.

Just to let it be known I tended bar at night while going to school, we didn't call it "slap an tickle" back then, but the results were the same. Best job I ever had, tip wise.
Hell not hittin it cause so many others are is like not eating pizza cause you didn't get the first slice, theres nothing wrong with cold pizza either, some times its the best.

Man I'm glad I started this thread.

I agree when it comes to random bartenders, you have to pay to play, never fall in love with a bartender lol.

In this case, we met outside the bar. It's the bar inside a super fancy restaurant, basically old people, not a bunch of randoms.
So, this changes the scenario quite a bit. She invited me to come see her at work... hence the difference.
