So for my hunt tonight I am going to be hunting an open alfalfa field, problem is the deer come out 500 yards away were there are no trees to set up on. My question is, if I get a sent rag and drag it from where they walk in to my stand will they come to me at this point in the season? or should I use a tinks 69 can and just sprits up around the base of my stand. Deer haven't been rutting on this property from what I have seen put some folks 20 miles away are getting lots of buck movement. just wonder if yall think this is a good idea or if I should wait a few more days/weeks.

Also do you think a drag rag would be better dipped in estrus or just spray the can as I walk.

I am holding off for another 10 days unless my pics on Sunday prove otherwise.

I think I am going to start doing some rattling this weekend. Might put out some buck urine as well.

I had a doe follow some tinks 69 that I put down this weekend. That was here in Wisconsin though. We are seeing some does going into estrus.

Here in Mo things should heat up October 29 so I will resist the urge to dope the woods yet, sure the young bucks will and are making scrapes and sparring a little here but the mature bucks are going to show they lived past there first few seasons.

At this point in the season I would use some straight doe urine like Tink's #1 Doe-P rather than #69. The first does won't start popping for another week to 10 days but the bucks are definitely out checking on them, which is why the straight urine may work best.
