Went ahead and bought a bottle of the gel tonight. Couple questions, what's the best application? How many have had success using it?

I was thinking I will use a drag and a couple hangers near my stand. I'll be hunting an all day sit this Monday. I haven't used a single scent in 2 seasons due to lack of knowledge. Any advise on tho one would be appreciated.

Just put some out myself this morning... I like the Tinks scent bomb, You pull the wick out and hang it, and put the lid on and reuse it the next time. No waste, I'll still put a few drops in a mock scrape and around, but for the most part, I use the scent bombs.

Drags are good, but you have to realize that there is nothing preventing the deer from going the "other" way if he crosses the path of the drag, and likely will go the other way due to the fact that it's obviously going to be stronger and the starting point. You can apply more as you go, but just remember, he could go the other way.

I have notice this twice this year. I had a doe find the trail and go away from the stand.

Most of the packages simply say to "drag it to your stand." However, I read somewhere that the best thing to do is to pull a drag in a figure 8 in front of your stand. That way, the deer will hang out in the area a little longer so you get a better shot. Otherwise, they might just walk straight through with their nose to the ground. Also, I try not to drag scents randomly, but rather start the scent at a known trail entrance specifically so the deer won't go the other way. Can't say how well it's worked, because I just started doing that a couple weeks ago and haven't had anything follow the scents in. However, I wasn't using a gel, which may be the problem. Just not sure how much of the scent is really getting applied.
