O.k. I'm not real fimilar with timing a bow. Right now I am shooting great with my new bow. Out to 45 yards I'm shooting good. But my string is off on my timing dots on my cam. The lower cam the cable is right on one of the 2 dots and the upper can it is outside the dot by about 1/16 of an inch. Should I take it in to have the cable hit at the same spot on top and bottom or leave it alone since it seams to be shooting great. If I get it tuned by a shop will I need to resight it in? I have a single floating pin sight and the numbers for yards are in place and accurrate so I dont want that to change.
Yeah you're a tick out of time. Evidently, not enough to matter. Truth is, most of us aren't going to notice a slight timing issue such as that. One twist in the cable will fix it. Maybe 1 1/2. Up to you. Not gonna hurt anything either way. But if it's gonna be messing around in your head go get it fixed.
don't know about your set up. on mine the buss and control cable are supposed to be in line with a hole in the cam. i don't know how many times i've put bow in the press and twisted cables just to get it centered on holes, lol did it help as far, as the bow shooting? not really enough to notice , they were already on the holes, i just wanted them centered. sometimes ,especially in my case, we worry about minor things too much.sounds like it might be out of time a little, but if it is shooting good, then just go ahead and shoot it . just my opinion
Getting the bow within the manufacturer's suggested timing marks is a good thing IMO. I certainly can't hurt and you may even notice the bow feels a bit better at full draw. You may even notice if there is any vibe in the bow, it will diminish or settle down a bit too. I say twist your cables a bit to get them in time and go from there. You aren't going to hurt anything and probably won't effect much in terms of accuracy, but only for the better.
