    Yes, You Duke my man, I figured Buckeye was going to take you to all the "second best spots" (Guide) :rock:

    I have a new job that will serioulsy impact my hunting time, but I understand about the kid.

    As for the actual wager: I don't care, it's more a challenge than a bet..but if you need some motivation..I'm up for something to keep it interesting.

    LOL it's not just the board I'm neglecting...I finally did some scouting, placed some trail cameras and talked to my land-owners yesterday. I'm way behind schedule with no real means of catching up!

    Well earlier on I issued the challenge to KILL a 100 inch or better buck on public land. It will be interesting to see who can make it happen. I will have my work cut for me as I regularly only see 1-2 bucks over 100 inches each year where I hunt. Part of that is my fault as my set-ups have been sub-optimal, but that has been changing over the past 2-3 years. I would really like to see if we can average over 100 inches as a group. That would be a heck of a testament to the public land hunters on this website. Of course, shoot whatever makes you happy and be realistic.

    Oh Dukey...I may have a case of mistaken identity. I thought it was you who hunted with Buckeye last year...But after thinking it out it must have been Dubbya.. in any case I reckon you'll be collateral damage. :nana:

    1. Must legally take the buck with a bow;
    2. Must be on land that anyone can legally hunt on;
    3. Must sign up on the Public Land Buck Bash thread located further down the page.:lol:

    I'm not calling anyone out but what would you do if some ole Ky boy stepped in and cleaned all your clocks.

    Here's a link of a buck killed here in Ky 4 years back on public land. I've seen this deer up close, it was at the Taxidermy shop (Meredith's Taxidermy) in 2006 when I took a buck down there. I kid you not, the bases are as big around as coke cans. Bigest deer I've ever seen. Martin, the guy who runs the shop said when he picked it up it looked like a dog with horns, body was puny but he horns were massive. It wasn't taken with a bow but it go's to show the potential is here in ky.

    I'm still looking for anyone who wants in on a mule deer challenge. I got skunked last year chasing them around so anyone will be a better mule deer hunter than me.

    Well that's gonna happen anytime a big buck is killed no matter where you live. We had a lot of hunters come in where I live too. Your right 10 in a million but it does make you think about what else is out there, might be bigger. All I know is if he walked out in front of me, I wouldn't hesitate even if I knew it would bring other hunters into the area.

    As far as opening Pandora's box goes, It's already been opened and It's not going to close for a while.

    If you don't mind me asking, Where about in Western KY do you live.

    That's not too far from Princeton, KY right off WK. I did some work (Masonry) on the new Wal Mart Supercenter in Princeton. Lot of big woods down in that area.
    I live about 12m south of Leitchfield, KY off Highway 259.

    nice Dave! the king is secretly amassing thousands of trail cam pix in PA and OHIO of bucks fit for the king! Watch out! :) it would be nice if he would make an appearance, this place just isnt the same without the king stirring it up.
