This is the new property that i gained access to this year. Its not very big and i didn't have time to scout preseason so all of my sits have been over a bait pile in a blind that sits year round. Not my ideal situation as i prefer going to the deer, makes me feel a little more accomplished. I was wondering if you experts could give me some suggestions as to where to look and possible set up that might get me a little more action.

I wouldn't call myself an expert but here's my two cents..

The steep terrain and timber just north of the property may hold some ok bedding area but you'd need to find out how they get to that and if their trails go through your property.

The small cove also to the north might be a nice watering hole if you get a warm spell or for early season (a little late now I know).

If you've got white oaks anywhere on a flat, relatively dry area (center of the property?) you may still get some feeding on acorns. Check the clear-cut powerline area for clover and maybe setup one evening on the edge.
