Nope, the s4 has a 2600 mah and the note 2 has a 3100. Not sure but they may be rated the same because of the note having the large screen and requiring more battery to run. I love the battery life on my note 2 and my wife hates the battery life on her s3 but she wont get the battery case sent from my samsung note 2
Ben, we're getting a Mophie, either way. We're just not interested in what Apple is offering right now. Before too many Apply people get upset, we're keeping her iPad:D Straight Talk is decent if you get carriers in an area that are well supported. I'm afraid my area would suffer from spotty service/reception that I've heard quite a few local people complaining about. We get a 22% company discount with Verizon, and while their customer service is horrendous, the reception is solid where we live. I get several bars 10 miles out Wallis Run (that's for you, Ben):D
I believe the biggest issue with battery's is always going to be signal quality. If you have a great signal in your area no problem. It's your phone is always searching for a signal. Problem.
Verizon service is much better than att. We were long time Verizon customers and because I can get better reception at my work, we switched to att. Turns out that even with all the bad service we got from verizon. Att is worse. It also turned out that the reception is only better at my work, everywhere else it is much worse. (There is an att tower beside my work) My wife gets a discount with both but it is only on the base plan. sent from my samsung note 2
I bought my iphone 4s brand new for 50$. Got to know where to look. with my phone, my other halfs an daughter with unlimited everything we pay 120$ a month
They lease the service from Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Coverage is dependent on the phone model, and currently (unless I'm misinformed) all of the phones I'm looking at in my area would be covered by Sprint and/or AT&T towers (i.e. crap service).
The towers depend on the location you will be using the phone the most they say Sent from my LGL86C using Tapatalk 2
Partially true. It's also model specific: Straight Talk Frequently Asked Questions ("FAQ") Page (Updated 3/17/2013) Not to mention you're on a prepaid non-roaming network which means that you don't get signal priority if in an area/towers are heavily saturated (not sure how often this happens). I'm not sold on prepaid, sorry.
Heh, you know it. In all seriousness, I gave straight talk serious consideration. I'm not a fan of paying more for something I don't have to, but in our area (where I spend 90% of my time), I think it won't be the best option.
Realized I hadn't updated this thread yet (like anyone cares). Wife and I picked up S4s the other day. She's doing well with the learning curve coming from her iPhone and I'm really liking the phone so far. Much quicker and better laid out UI than my incredible 2. Battery life is acceptable but I did turn off all of the crap I don't need.
