Found a local guy that is selling a few of the Morell Yellow Jacket crossbow targets (the bag style).... i really need a new target cuz mine is a cheap one that is on the way out.. what is the difference between bow and crossbow targets... he is selling for 40 bucks, not a great deal but cheaper than brand new... it is the field point target which is fine cuz ill could use my old one for only broad heads when i wanna shoot those...

Should i get this target or just keep looking for another deal?

Hope its better than my Morell bag target. I won't be buying another Morell if mine is the norm from them. Think my next one will be from American Whitetail.

You could always make your own bag target pretty darn cheap. Get a burlap bag from cooperseed.com and stuff it full of plastic grocery bags, bubble wrap or plastic wrap. Stops any arrow with simple arrow removal. Works like a charm and will cost ya around $5.00. I have one going on 3 years with tens of thousands of arrows in it that might need a new burlap bag on it in a few more years!

I stuff mine pretty good, as full as I can get it. Take a broom handle and stuff bags in the bottom corners. I then leave enough room at the top so I can roll it over and zip tie it shut! You can also hang it from the zip ties if needed!

Also you can take a sharpie or marker and draw your different spots. If you turn the target 90 degrees, it's the shape of a deers torso, your can take some spray paint and get creative if needed! Best part, its pretty much indestructible and free! I take a pic of mine here in a minute!

This is an old pic, I had a small one started, found a bigger burlap bag and just tossed the smaller one in side, it is now stuffed full!

Thats exactly what I do, I have a beat up ole block 4x4 that cost me $100, its a POS, thats what I shoot a few broadheads into, that and a sand pile! I leave this bag out year round, prop it up in a snow bank in the back yard and shoot off an upstairs balcony!!! It gets buried in snow all winter, sits out all summer in the rain/sun. I'll never buy another target again! :)

I just went out and took these pics...... this is the same bag as above 2 years later....

No worries brother! Remember to double bag everything at the grocery store! You'll have it stuffed well before spring!
