I am looking for a new broad head that is not mechanical. I am shooting a rage now and had major issues with them. I shot a doe a couple of weeks ago and couldn't find any blood and Saturday morning my brother shot a doe and couldn't find any blood at all. So I am looking to get rid of the rage and get something better.

Lots of great choices out there. Try all of them that you can. With that said I really like the slick tricks.

I would look at your shot placement first. Personally I do not like rages, but I never understand blaming a broad head for lack of blood trail. No disrespect intended.

I use g5 montecs. Haven't put down a deer yet but they fly same as field point, one solid piece, and sharpen really well

QAD Exodus are excellent fixed blade heads. I am shooting 100 grain full blade model and they fly great out to 50 yards (as far as I can practice at home).

But I agree with dmen. I have friends that use those Rage heads and always have blood trails. I think you can find somebody blaming every broadhead made for lack of blood when really many problems with lost deer are caused by errors on our end. Not all of them of course, but a lot. I can look back through the years at the couple deer I've lost and see what I did wrong now on each one.

I use G5 montecs. Awesome broad head and they fly just like field points and are very well built. Have shot four deer with one head with no damage to the head. Just sharpen em up and you are good to go after a shot.

I've shot 4 deer this year with 100 gr slick trick mags. Complete pass throughs on all. I like them, they fly great and have worked very well for me. With that said,I've seen some gnarly holes posted on here from rage heads.
I don't think I've ever shot a deer, good hit or bad, and didn't find SOME blood.

WHat is your set up? Draw Length and Pounds?

I'm a slick trick user/lover...but basic thunderheads killed tons of deer for me also....G5s....muzzies.....really a lot of choices.

There are so many good fixed blade broadheads, its hard to narrow it down to one. The last couple of yrs ive been using muzzy mx-3s and slick trick magnums. Ive used the muzzys 3/4 of the time, but i love em both. They both flew the same, but for me personally i just love muzzys.

Slick Tricks...specifically 125 gr. Grizz Trick II's. They are BEAST!

Anyone ever shoot the Ramcat? Those kind of interest me.

Are you sure you hit the deer, hard to believe two deer were hit and not a drop of blood was found. Lots of good broadheads out there, I like muzzy phantoms myself.
