Sooooo... why isn't every topic on SC about Tebow this week? My oh my how a story can go cold in one week.
Probably a relief for him. I hope he had a Christmas where he could take some time with family and celebrate the birth of his Savior. If given the choice, I'm positive that he would rather not be on SC.
Really? Are we talking about the same guy that allowed cameras to follow him for months leading up to the draft? The same guy that has given numerous interviews to ETMZ over the years? He has been given the choice many times, and there's nothing wrong with taking the exposure.
and to think it was against the lowly Bills ..... I am a fan ... I will wait and see what the whole off season training and game planning will result in before I say that Tebow won't make it ... he has the right attitude ... and THAT is essential to be successful as a leader anywhere
Who's Tim Tebow? The image attached is active when it moves it shows much more character...and funny as all get out. Not Hunting today wind gusts are up at 20-30 mph. Still I'm hitting Gander Mountain..Anybody need me to get something for them?
Tebow will be fine, I am going to go out on a limb here, I bet he has a few more bad games in the future
The detractors finally got the game they have been waiting all season for! He played terribly this past weekend, but I wouldn't write him off as done just yet. One thing people don't realize is all the Tebow coverage came in a downtime for sports news. The NBA just started back, NFL is closing in on the playoffs, College Basketball is getting to the meat of the schedules, and its Bowl season for college football. A few weeks ago College Basketball was ITT Tech vs UNC type games, College football was over, the NBA was still locked out, and the NFL was only mid season. They needed something to fill their 4 channels with, so they obsessively discussed a hot topic, Tim Tebow.
Um...I've been listening to ESPN discuss Orton vs Tebow for the last 10 minutes. Orton vs Tebow. Again...Orton vs Tebow. Is it still a down time in sports this week?
Tebow has completed 48% of his passes for the entire SEASON...lowest in the NFL I didn't need this most recent performance to validate any opinion I have on him.
But you did need him to perform poorly in a loss for any opinion you have on him to be validated. People read waaaaaay to far into completion percentages. The negative stat that matters for QBs is interceptions, and up until this weekend Tebow had extremely low INT numbers. He isn't on elite level. I also think Cam Newton is everything in a QB Tebow aspires to be. But Tebow is a winner.
Pay attention Cooter, its only about wins and losses...unless he loses...then its about something else.
Of course I'm willing to bet if Tebow's completion percentage was high, yet he had high INT numbers, then INTs would be waaaay overrated. The completion percentage would be the true measure of a QB.
I would like to slap Skip Bayless upside his head. Anyone hear this guy sticking up for Tebow last week? Unreal. He's blaming it on the coaching staff putting him in bad situations and not unleashing the "beast" on first downs. That's why he was forced to throw 4 INT's and lose the game. Pa Yep.
Right...completion percentage is overrated Here are the guys with 3 highest completion percentages in the NFL to date...I'm sure you recognize their names Brees 70% Rodgers 68% Brady 65% If Peyton Manning were playing this year his numbers would be similar to them. You cannot consistently sustain drives by completing only 48% of your passes is this league. Anything much under 60% is considered low by NFL standards.
