What in the hell was Freddie Couples thinking when he made Tiger a Captains pick for the Presidents Cup. He's won nothing, beat no one, played lousy and Freddie picks him? How's that working for you Freddie. Woods has been the dismal spot in the American lineup. Just totally useless. What in the hell was Freddie thinking. There were so many young guns who were so deserving.... and Freddie picks Tiger? What a waste. Woods has almost single handedly sunk the American ship. He's toast, done,... finished.... an after thought.
I wouldn't go so far as to say Tiger is done. While he's been sub-standard this year, and I don't agree with him as cpt, I don't think we've seen the last of him for sure. Have no idea why people are clinging to the hopes that someday Tiger is going to wake up and be Tiger of old again. It simply isn't going to happen. Put a fork in the dude, he's DONE! Been saying for a long time. Time to pay attention to the next generation in golf and let Tiger fade away from competition and media spotlight.
And just when we thought he was done..... he kicked some serious butt today. Baddelay is not a bad golfer but Tiger caught him good to close out the cup for the US. I'd still have rather had some new young gun there in his place. Nice to see Jim Fuyrk do well. 5 and 0
Thats what the problem is. Everytime Tiger has a flash from the past people immediately say "he's back". Tiger shoots first round 69......he's back. Tiger makes 30 foot putt...... he's back. Tiger was hitting it pure on the range..... he's back. Tiger makes the cut..... he's back. Tiger picks his nose left handed...... he's back. DONE! He's not back. Never going to be back. Average Joe on the PGA tour now.
