But he now leads the PGA in wins and $ earned in 2012 while playing in fewer events than most.

After winning last weekend he is also in good position to reclaim the #1 ranking in world soon.

    Not a hater at all.

But he has to win a major, before anyone can claim he is, what he once was.

    Much like Lebron.

I would say that he does not have to be what he "was" to become the best player in the world. There are no other golfers out there who are even close to what Tiger "was". The Lebron comparison makes no sense since Tiger HAS won many majors already in his career.

Agreed Tiger is back, and quicker than I expected.

Can't wait to regularly watch him prowl on Sunday afternoons

Had me fooled. Tough to argue he isn't on top of his game. Playing better than anyone in the world right now. I think the biggest thing (bigger than his swing change) is he has some swager back. Confidence in this sport goes along way. He used to win everything back in the day because he didn't think anyone could beat him. Then he beat himself and lost all confidence. He was knocked down to everyone elses level mentally. Now he has that back. Could hear the arrogance coming out in his press conference (which is a good thing for him)

If he can stay healthy, winning a few more majors will likely happen. Again, if he stays healthy, I look for him to be the winningest player to ever play the game and likely not be surpassed in our lifetimes or maybe ever. He has the ability to rebuild his swing when needed and still be at the top of the world. That will bode well for him as he continues to age.

I hope for his sake that he's back. Golf is all he has. I feel sorry for him.
