I would agree that he simply had to change his swing for physical reasons. The aggressive style of swing he had success with was designed for a very young, limber, physical athlete. Unfortunately, that cant last forever. I really think he is injured. He has enough talent to still compete if healthy.

For anyone interested here's some more Bubba Watson comments:

    Q. What kind of feedback have you gotten from Tiger after your comments last week?

BUBBA WATSON: I haven't talked to him yet, so I just talked to his agent, and I talked to another person in his camp last week and told them that I didn't say anything wrong. I just said my opinion, and the media runs with it.
You guys don't run with it but other people do. And so I just told him that, look, you know me. I'm good friends with you. I've been a supporter of you the whole time I've been a pro and have known you. So I'm here for you, but I didn't do anything wrong.
So yeah, the camp says I'm okay, but I haven't talked to the boss yet.

Double back-pedaling in one question....priceless. He did finish like tied for 40th this past weekend so things are looking good for him.

I understand a lot of the doubt people have about Tiger I just believe when he gets that knee right and more time passes in regards to the damage he caused to his family he'll be back, he's too fierce a competitor not to.

On a side note I actually like Bubba Watson and feel like the comments toward Tiger may have partially been directed towards his swing coach but he's a golfer and it's fairly common knowledge that hip/back/knee injurys can force you to adjust your swing. The type of swing speeds and amount of golf those guys play put a lot of torque and strain on the body...I guess I think the injury is hurting him at least as much as the mental side hell it's probably adding to the mental stress. I guess time will tell....

I just felt like as a golfer he should understand that the significant injury is probably equally responsible if not more for some of Tigers swing problems and he didn't mention that. It's easy to say "Tiger use to bomb it", "Tiger used to make shots", maybe not so easy for tiger to just go do it. I'm pretty sure Tiger wishes he could just swing away and bomb it too.

Another thing is that it isn't so much what he said, he and Tiger play practice rounds together frequently, they seem to be friends. The media comes to him and asks about Tiger, he knows what the media does and how words can be manipulated to sell a story so just default to a cliche answer. Don't give them something they can manipulate(which he did and then they did) and the piling on continued. Watson is very familiar with the media he knows how it works. I'm not for defending anything Tigers done I understand he brought the media on himself with his actions off the course, I'm just not for kicking a man when he's down either.

No big deal NY, I get how people feel towards Tiger now and some of them will always feel that way about him in the future. I think what irks me is all of the ones that won''t. All of the media, lots of golf fans, commentators, etc. that will flip flop and start sack riding if he ever gets it turned around.

Butch would/could fix Tiger's head, once his head is fixed I bet his knee gets better real fast;)

Winning cures most ills. Tiger just needs to win
