Would you like someone spitting on your deer stand???? Just not a nice thing to do. Spit off the green if you have to. It only takes a couple steps. Hell, we walk in the bushes or behind a bush and pee all the time in golf. LOL No big deal.... but it would be nice if he stepped to the side of the green.
Maybe if the players "policed" themselves and wacked Tiger in the shin with their putter he would think twice before doing it again.:D
I have to admit, even I would have a serious issue with another man spitting on my shotgun or bow while hunting. If tiger spit a big chew of beechnut on another's putter, then I might then understand why all these hosers in funny pants and golf hats are upset.
This is exactly what I was going to post. Same thing as the big deal made of arod running over the mound last year. It's not a golf is uppity or a man thing. It's just something that isn't looked at as a normal thing to do when playing the game. It really isn't THAT big of a deal but it is what it is.
Does not bother me but I can see how it may upset others. He did swipe it as he went bye, which shows some sort of understanding. It might have been an act without thinking only to realize afterwords that it may not have been the smartest act.
