    Me too.

Permethrin spray it on your clothes and let it dry a couple of days before you go hunting.

    This is no smell.

    Don't forget the thermacell.

I have found that eating lots of garlic helps against blood suckers, no joke.

This is the worst year for ticks that I have ever seen! All that has been already mentioned are good. Also look at I think it's called Ryno Skin or something like that. It's an under layer outfit that they can't get through.

When I am playing Army and go to the field I just swallow a couple match heads from the MRE's and they keep all the skeeters, chiggers, ticks and all other bugs away....it is because of the sulfer in them...

Wear pants tucked into boots if possible or use duct tape to tape pants to boots. Wear shirttail inside pants. Wear long sleeve shirt if possible. Take off clothes as soon as you get home and take shower. Check head when you get out of shower – short hair helps. I had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and that was something you never want to get. It took me a long time to get over it. I could be sitting around and feeling almost normal and the next thing I knew me temp would be 104. I don’t know how long a tick has to be on your body to get RMSF but I think they say 24 to 48 hours for Lyme disease.

Ditto to this... kept my head shaved during the SC season and kept my pant legs and shirt sleeves taped shut with electrical tape. Tried to avoid pine thickets if possible.

I know for sure that alot of garlic in your diet reduces the amount of ticks that will attach....I work and play in the woods 7 days a week, and a couple of the properties are loaded with ticks. I up my garlic intake probly 50x normal(normal for me that is) for the tick season here(june - sept...oct this year). I usually have 20 -30 ticks attach through the year...the other guys get 2-10 a day . My brother has upped his intake and dropped his tick count significantly. I have used the tick repellants but have noticed an allergic reaction of sorts so I tend to avoid them. Now I know its a lot of garlic(Iput it on everything..and everyday) If you don't like garlic in your food there are supplemental pills.
