I've been using Permethrin for over 10 years. It simply works. I first started using it when I used to canoe trip in the boundary waters. People were reporting pulling off ticks by the hundreds over a week long canoe trip in the area I was tripping. On my trek, we found 1 tick crawling on a pair of pants and didn't have to pull any ticks off. Since then, I've been a firm believer.

I'm scouting a new piece of public and sweating quite a bit doing it. Will the spray get on my skin through the camo? I'm just wearing pants, a long sleeve shirt and a hat, no baselayers. The shirt and pants are fairly thick though.
    Thanks!

No. So long as your sprayed clothing has dried.
