When I was bit last year (and subsequently contracted Lymes), my doctor told me they really don't send ticks out to be tested anymore. Like some have said, the test is fairly inaccurate. I developed a bulls eye rash within three days of removing the tick, and immediately began antibiotic treatment. Within the fourth day, I started getting flu like symptoms, and my glands under my arms swelled up. However, that was the extent of it, and the anitbiotics took care of it. Oh, and my Lymes test came back negative if that tells you anything about their accuracy?:D Just keep an eye on the bite spot, and any symptoms you might develop in the next few days (if it was in fact carrying Lymes).
