So recently I purchased a set of 125g Magnus Classic heads for the upcoming deer season. Previously I had been using the Stinger 2 blade with bleeder blades. I know that for many of you the latest and greatest designs are all the talk but the Classic Magnus to this day still does the job extremely well. To give some info on the bow these are shot from, it is a Bear Super Mag 48" 50# @28". I draw to 29" so am shooting at more like 52#. My arrows are carbon GT's the traditional with 3, 4" right hex feathers. Total weight of the arrow with tip is 498g.

With a standard field tip on my arrows I can group a set of 5 arrows at 17 yards in a 6" grouping average. When shooting the Stinger's my grouping remains at a 7" grouping from the same distance and arrows just changing tips. With the Thundervalley Magnus Classic 2 blade the grouping sits at 6.5" grouping at the same distance and same arrows. So overall both blades perform very close to the field tips.

The first noticeable thing I did notice with the Thundervalley broadhead was how quiet they were in comparison to the Stingers. I can hear the stingers flight till hitting the target, where as the Thundervalleys were very quiet. This to me is due to the open blade design on the stingers compared to the solid blade design of the Thundervalleys. As far as penetration with the 2 heads they were very similar, no problem punching through a 1/2" piece of particle board. The stingers pushed 9.5" into the target after going through the board and the Thundervalleys went 10 3/4" in. The stingers also were out of balance from the impact and the Thundervalleys maintained balance after the hit.

Over all I think the Thundervalley Classic Magnus 2 Blade broadhead is a top notch head and will be using them this season. These heads can be shot out of a compound and traditional bow. Many tests have been made showing that this classic design out penetrates many of the new blades on the market out of compound bows. One last note the Thundervalley heads have a lifetime warranty for any damage at any time, just mail them back and get new ones returned to you.
Hope this helps if you have ever considered a classic design.
