Considering switching to a thumb release. (Hunting, no target only shooting) Please share your Yay or Nay, and anything else about them. Seems like it would not be to hard to change from wrist strap to thumb. Change from fingers to release, was a nightmare! So, if I decide to try one, I hope that it will not be as bad as that... Q's. Looks like it would be difficult to wear gloves while using a thumb release. Will that change POI when using gloves? I would be worried about dropping it, or lay it down, and have to reach for it, at the moment of truth.( A Deer :)) Is there a way to attach it? Thanks, J.

I switched to a thumb release in 2015 and used it for the past two years. Recently, I have picked up a wrist/index finger release again. Reason being is I have to change it up every now and then because of a few target panic "issues".

Didn't take long to switch from a wrist to thumb a couple of years ago, 15 shots or so close up and was shooting at 30+ yds after that. Release I have is the Tru Ball Hunter 3. Put their lanyard attachment on it to keep it on my wrist so as to not lose or misplace it.
