All depends on your level of experience and your pocket book and what they have at Bass Pro...out of the less expensive ones I would look at the Hot Shot Vapor or maybe the Spot Hogg Whipper Snapper and if you have the coin...A Stanislawski or Stan (SX3 or Shootoff), Scott Exxus, or Carter(Chocolate lite or addiction) are all tops.

Chances are Bass Pro will only carry Tru-ball and Tru-fire...then I have no suggestions
I tried the hardcore 4 from Tru-fire for a month and just didn't like it...too much trigger travel and noise.

A little advice if you have never used one before learn how the release tension adjustment works, and then make it real heavy with no trigger travel, then adjust down to your preference. I've had releases right from the factory come too light and go off half way back through the draw cycle sending an arrow to who knows where. I have also punched myself in the mouth a time or two again to light of a setting...just to save you some headache.
    Good luck.

I use a Scott Exxus. Don't know if they will have it at one of the big box stores, but I am a big fan of mine.

I suggest shooting as many as you can before deciding.

How much you looking to spend? I have a couple of TRUball releases I like real well. One is a Fang 3, the other is an Absolute 360. The Absolute is super nice and I love it. The Fang is nice too but it only cost $129 vs. the $249 for the Absolute. You really do get what you pay for. I was just looking at Basspro's website and didn't see an Absolute on there but they do have the Boss X for $209. My buddy has one of those and he swears by it. I bought my Absolute 360 at Field and Stream and they let me try it before I bought it. Take your bow along with you. I'm pretty sure Basspro would let you do the same thing.

I shoot the Carter Insatiable 2+.
It is a 4 finger thumb release. I love it! Tension is fully adjustable as well as thumb position.
