    The key is to get the space between your index and middle knuckles tight up in on the point of the back of your jaw. As seen here;

    You don't fire the release by squeezing your thumb on it. With my 4 finger Carter I fire by dropping my elbow and pulling through which tensions the hand and causes the release to fire. If I have to force it to fire in a tight, timed hunting scenario I can add a little extra tension with my pinky finger which pushes the trigger into the meat of my thumb a little harder.

    The thing I don't like about the TruBall's is the longer head profile of the caliper design. If you look at the Carter in comparison the attachment point to the string is right between your knuckles on most models. With the TruBall it's out almost 1/2" from that which shortens your draw by that much. Pay attention to that when you choose yours. Also keep in mind that if you plan to have it on the string in a treestand, have a spare in your pocket. It sucks having to climb down and retrieve the release you just dropped because you bumped the trigger. For that reason I typically don't have it clipped in unless I'm on the ground. When stalking it's in my pants pocket where I can access it readily. In that case it may be better to have a simple hook style attachment that quickly picks up the string loop.

    Thanks a ton Rob. That's a lot of really good info. Going to have to read that a few times, have a lot going on at the moment.
    Eric, man we were there for 4 hours. I did like the one you mentioned.
    I didn't actually get one yet. I wanted to do more research.

    Sorry if I stole your thread 10pt. .
