I recently move to a Tru Fire Edge 4 Finger thumb release:

I have some wrist issues and shot every thumb release I could get my hands on and this was the most natural and best feeling. My question is this - I have fairly large hands, and it is almost impossible for me to pull back with my thumb behind the trigger to keep it from firing. I have practiced with keeping my thumb well away from the trigger and sliding it into position when I am at anchor, but have punched two shots before reaching full draw by accidentally hitting the trigger - with one CX arrow launching itself DEEP into the woods behind the house.

I have always kept a finger behind the trigger when coming to full draw, but can't seem to do that with the tumb release - any suggestions?

I went to a 4 finger and what I did was adjust the thumb trigger all the way inward as far as you can go. Now, to release I don't pull the trigger (that seemed very awkwards to me), I simply squeeze my hand like I'm making a tight fist. Plus, it gets the trigger out of the way a little when you draw (you still have to be careful though)...
