Throw n Grow Brassicas

    Bought some of this throw and grow for a small hidden field on public land, have never planted anything before and don't know a lot about this stuff. If you have had some experience lend me a hand. Thanks.

    it actually grows pretty fast, but it's a hit or miss....for me, it was kind of disappointing....only grew grass from what I saw, lmao...

    that's probably because the majority of the mixes that are labeled "throw n grow" are about 75% ryegrasses.

    There are a few blends that do well, some seeds dont need any coverage anyways. Try rape that does pretty well, or winter rye. I plant a lot of food plots deep in the woods with no machinary and just use a garden rake after seeding to just go over the top.

    Absolutely. not rye, ryegrasses. The general public is fooled by that quick green growth and there is little value. I've grown accustomed to flipping the bags over to the seed content sticker before even reading the front anymore.
