Its about 85% rye grass, 9 % rape and 2% berseem clover. Would be cheaper to by rye grass at Walmart and lay it down thick. Mix in some wheat and oats and you have a good variety. Essentially you rake the area to get bare ground, thro down your seed, rake it again to cover, walk around the plot of ride over with ATV to get seed to soil contact. Thro down some fertilizer and lime and hope for moisture.

Thro and grow may be good for a small kill plot in the woods but it in most cases won't be a big attractant. Also probably better for early season if you get any action.

How big of a plot did you have in mind? If you check out Midwest Whitetails they have several good segments on micro plots. Check it out.

I threw it down this fall in a spot that doesn't get a lot of sun or that doesn't have the best soil either and it did well for me.

Try picking up a few small bags of rye grass for like 9 bucks for 3 lbs. Once you have it down and it is about 3 inches high hit it with some liquid fertilizer. That might help some but definitely no guarantee. The deer will like the grass when it first starts to come up and is tender. Good luck.
