I am going to pack in and out almost every hunt this year with my lone wolf stand and climbing sticks. Takes me about 13 min from bottom of the tree till stand hung and bow in hand. Only thing I'm alittle concerned about is leaving a lot of scent at the bottom of the tree when unpacking and packing up! What do y'all think about this? Has anyone done this before? Any pointers would help

I have a hard time shooting straight down. We all try to be as scent free as possible but invariably there will be a little human scent left behind. Be careful and don't touch anything more than you have to and don't lay anything on the ground that you don't have to either. Don't over worry yourself into not having a good hunt.

I just had an old timer tell me he puts fresh cow patties at the bottom of his stands and at the edge of the trees where he walks in. Before every trip in and out he walks through it. Might cover up you sent if ya wanna pack a bucket if crap with ya.

I used this exact approach last season with my Summit Viper. Never hunted the same spot twice. Killed 2 does, 1 nice buck and a coyote, all in a 12 day stretch.

If you're constantly moving it's not something to worry about, if you're coming back no matter what you do deer know you were there and sightings will be effected.

I do it a lot actually, but I'm a little slower at it than you are. I hunt with a Lone Wolf and a Summit climber; no permanent stands. Never really had a problem but I do try to set up knowing the direction the deer will come from when possible and then put the wind in my favor.
