I have a stand in a new property and its setup right on top of a bedding area in a swamp they bed everywhere along the swamp but here more heavily. There are tons of rubs for last season around and a heavy game trail right of the stand about 30 yards coming off the swamp. What are your thoughts on hunting right on top of a bedding area. I haven't had time to really get a feel for the property because I just got it 3 weeks ago and the guy before shot so big boys out of this property but I seen in e 1.5 old doe on the first sit here. If you can get to your stand quietly, without actually going through the bedding area, I would think you should be okay. I personally prefer hanging a stand in between the bedding and feeding areas, but you have to work with the land you have.
The feeding just acorns and greener in the forest so it's kinda hard to pin point there feeding area. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
The blue line is a high ridge, yellow line is property line odvs. Also the red dots are stand location and red circle is where so acorns are. The black lines are trails into that bedding area and the place is a swamp basically so they bed everywhere but focus on here for some reasons and points or land features hat stiCk out to you guys? Any help is appreciated!! Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
