On my way in yesterday for an evening "antlerless" hunt, I came across these tracks. I also posted this on the other site (what a let down), but I'm hoping I can get a more definite answer here. I've never, ever, seen a loose dog in these woods and I think it's too big for a fox. They were in a straight line as opposed to meandering, if that's any help. Here's the pic I forgot to post. DUHH:D

I did get this still photo from video I got of this guy the last day (in my WMU) of deer season in '08. Could this, or one like him, be the maker? He's the ONLY ONE I've ever seen in 8 years of hunting this 1200 acres of woods. Also, the snow was real dry, so the track wasn't super defined as to see any claw marks.

I would say its a yote man. I have seen tracks time an time again all over our farm. You will start seeing more of them in next few years. They can pick you out of a tree not even trying. Its like they have got a sense that something else is around.

LOL, he knows it's a coyote. He's posting about tracks he found in the snow that he didn't picture here.

I first posted on HNI (picture there) that I thought it was canine but I subsequently edited it because I did some track research online and posted this on HNI.

I did a little canine/feline track searching and I recant.

I don't think it's big enough for ml so maybe large bobcat,

    It appears feline, http://www.bear-tracker.com/caninevsfeline.html

Thanks for the response Rob. Yes, there's a pic now. I didn't see the other post over there yet. No, we don't have any "big cats" down here in SE Pa though.

LOL, none that we're aware of or they'll say exists. :D That's why I'm thinking big bobcat and agreeing with iamyourhuckleberry.
