Alabama looked good, but I do not feel we have a dominate team anywhere in the nation this year. Several very good teams, but not the caliber of the teams from last year. South carolina got georgia pretty good, Mike Bobo better open that offense up or Ga is in trouble. Michigan looks good, but they are a one man show on O, need to get some help from a running back. Notre Dame lost....always a good thing TOSU beat an over rated Miami team with a quarterback that we continually try and make great, even though he started 5 and 1 against decent teams and has struggled since. Boise took a hit without losing a game. VT proves to be over rated once again, and at this pace they will be a top 5 team next year. The ACC could be pushing for the worst conference in America, nothing like having your conf championship with neither team being ranked. They cannot even sell the game out. That is just a few thoughts I have and they are only opinions...please add your own from your favorite teams, and if you feel like it slam my thoughts
You pretty much nailed everything. Although I think Alabama will do nothing but get better. First game jitters. So. Carolina is a mediocre team.........as usual.
I agree with Bama, but I am a homer so i did not want to hop on their sack and ride away into the sunset. I am not sure jeff, while I do not think carolina will win the east, I do think Lattimore is a BEAST and they are a better team than the one I watched give the game to Bama last year when they should have won by 17. Garcia seems a little more mature to me.
Did the Sooners improve that much from week 1 or did the Seminoles degrees that much? Bama's back up tailback is more impressive than their returning heisman winner. There is no way Denard Robinson will survive a full season taking that many hits, especially when league play opens. The Gators do not show up until half time. The Big East and ACC aren't looking so good this year.
Man aint that the truth... They are not making me a really comfortable Gator this year. We have some break away players, but they seem a tooth out on the gearing. Going to be a long, fretful year for a Gator fan. Was out messing with my stands and such a didn't watch any other games.
More of the same go ahead to win and play soft D BS for the Irish. Almost knew what was gonna happen after that TD with 3 to go.
tOSU has the best defense in the nation Michigan has a Heisman canidate, MI is not a one man show. The offense line is the big difference. Bama is good, real good and only going to get better The Cocks are pretty good IMO, I like their FR running back Florida is not as good as some thought ND still has a head coach making dumb calls. Oklahoma is either really good for FSU sucks VT is not that good at all
Penn State needs to step up their recruiting game. This is ridiculous. I'm so tired of them being pushed around by high ranked teams. That's what I learned. Plus what Germ said above applies as well. Except Alabama. They're featuring bunch of changes from last year, and while they romped Penn State, their true tests will come in a few weeks.
Bama is better than I thought they would be. Their defense is a tad weaker, but the offense is much improved. I honestly think Saban was trying not to run up the score on Penn St. out of respect of Joe Pa. This sucks as an LSU fan. tOSU is a very well balanced team and should compete for the Natty C. Florida's defense will keep them in games. Miami continues to have amazing kick returners. Michigan is better than last year, but not enough to compete for the Big Ten. Texas and Oklahoma are decent teams. Boise is screwed. I think several 1 loss teams jump them in the end.
Their offensive line and receivers should get more credit. On most of Robinson's long runs, there is great blocking at all levels.
After seeing a little of most of the SEC East teams (I can safely say this without seeing Vandy I think), it would not surprise me if South Carolina won the east this year. They've looked the best of them to me. As for my favorite team, we suffer from a lack of depth. Only recruiting can change that, hope remains for 6-6 though.
