Thought all I needed was some scent free spray? I've heard a lot of good reviews and some bad, but just not interested. Already have a hard enough time fitting my outerwear and other toys in my pack.
I find it really hard to believe that you never get winded. How do you know? What if they smell you way before you even see them or on your way in? Are there even any deer there to wind you?
When I say I can't recall the last time I was winded, I'm talking about being in the stand and physically seeing them catch my scent and find me in the tree or if they wind me and then snort wheeze to alert other deer and run off. Walking in who knows, I'm sure it happens, but there's not much you can do besides playing the wind and using scent control. Do those who use an Ozonics turn it on and carry it while walking to the stand to prevent being winded while walking to the stand? LOL. I'm sure everyone spooks deer walking in at some point, myself included, so I ask the same question from my perspective, how do I know? Are there even deer there to wind me? Even if I did, what actually spooked them? Was it my scent, was it a noise I made, or just my movement? It could be anything. EDIT: Also, I only hunt a small piece of property, my stand is a few hundred yards at most from my cabin and where I park my truck. I am more likely to spook them from that more than me quietly walking into the stand after spraying down.
I never said it didn't work. I just said I don't ever want to use one. I also said using scent checkers that float over a deers head does not prove that your scent was masked by the ozonics and it didn't react because the ozonics was that awesome. It simply means the deer didnt react. Ive had plenty of deer come in down wind and barely make a move for whatever reason...(thermals are actually blowing my true scent over/around the deer, or the deer is distracted by being horny, etc.) You could tell me I could possibly kill a known 200 inch buck if I used an ozonics machine and I wouldn't use one.
This is a thread that seems to come up frequently. It just amazes me how those that don't own one seem to have all the answers. And the total ignorance of comments that suggest you're breathing the stuff. NEWS FLASH...if you are breathing it or can smell it.. YOU ARE USING IT WRONG. The directions that come with it are so easy to understand, a liberal /Dumbacrap could follow them. Yes, I own one and have seen the results many times. I understand wind currents and thermals and no I am not a spokesperson for Ozonics. Seems to me the use of Ozonics is more of a jealousy thing than anything else. "if I can't afford one then I will slander them"
