Below is a link to new inserts made to eliminate blood clots. I have never used these myself obviously because they are brand new. A friend of
mine was one of the people asked to test it. He claims to have tracked the deer for miles and it worked. Blood was never pouring out but every time the deer jumped up it would bleed just enough again to keep the blood trail going. What are everybody thoughts on this new idea???

They should be illegal. Seems like a good way to turn a superficial wound into a festering mess

That was my response too. And the answer I received was if they aren't going to die they can rip it out just like a deer would an arrow if it doesn't snap off

ALSO, my own thoughts on this are that I have had high lung hits before where deer are able to clot and I don't recover in time to get use of the meat. I wouldn't call that a "superficial wound" and think this product would be extremely handy in those types of situations

    Horrible idea.

Also suspect that your only 3 post deal with a product that you have no affiliation with...

i believe it may have somthing to say about a hunters attitude going into the trees. i dont see any reason so plan for failure. Even if your shot is high, or back, with todays bows you will probably have a pass through. my concern would also be weather or not it would affect arrow flight with the wire wobbling around inside of the arrow shaft. Just my Thoughts.

Abates: I couldn't agree with you more. We all practice over and over again but having a misfire every now and then is inevitable. I can tell you I know they shoot well because I was given some to use but not in time for this hunting season and they have shot straight into the targets. The material is super light and I don't think the narrow shaft allows it much movement. I appreciate the feedback

sorry but another selling gimmick. Most arrows are pass thru's with carbon arrows and a good broadhead. I still don't see a tiny wire keeping a deer from clotting unless they are pushed and that is never a good outcome. A poor shot is a poor shot and with a bow and no shock factor behind it, you don't take out the vital's they deer will continue on.

Why not use poison tipped or explosive tipped arrows? That way if you make a bad shot, you can still recover the deer.

.... oh, wait. They're both illegal to use.

Honestly, I think it's a bad idea because if your shot is bad, the deer is just as likely to survive. Unless he has a festering wound that gives him an extended painful death. It's in poor taste.

I have too agree. Festering wounds mean infection. May not mean dead deer today but, what about a week from now when they have suffered all that time and finally died. Not into making an animal suffer a long painful death so no thank you!

Prime example of why hunting industry is murdering our reputation and this great sport. Just my opinion of course...

How about if you make a bad shot just back out and let the deer die?

Using the logic behind this stupid wire you would assume the shot was lethal, just not right away, but, with the wire hanging out, now an impatient dumbass can push the deer on purpose just to make it keep bleeding. That way, instead of going back the next morning and finding your deer 100-150 yards from the shot you can be impatient and push the deer for miles, while tracking it all night until it finally dies. Sounds like a great idea.

If the shot wasn't lethal then, like others have said, deer dies of an infectious, festering wound.

Only a complete dumbass would come up with something like this.

I believe he just did.

Personally I shoot a setup that gives me a complete pass through. Only once have I not had a complete pass through, and that was a spine shot. Even if I didn't think it was a cruel and inhumane thing to use, which I do, there's absolutely no way I'd even consider buying a product designed to work only when the a$$ end of my arrow is sticking out of the deer.
