D-55IRXT? That is the model I run. I really like them, especially for the cost. I wish I had more pics to show you, but I just cleaned up all of my memory cards. Here are a couple from my 55IRXT.

I must be talking about a different camera then, mine were flash cams from like 4 years ago. The big black box cameras

Awh yes, my brother had one of those. It cracks me up how far trail cameras have come in the last five years.

I would put his up in our yard and get enjoyment out of watching his camera work. I swear you could hear the flash warming up and then "PSSSSHHHH" as it would shoot. That was a pretty awful camera.

I ran Moultries since 2007. I tested a m80black and my black60 and gave up on the m80black after the black60 was picking stuff up that the m80black wasnt.

I agree with what everyone else says and not going to re type it. I still got two i40's and one m80.

You cant go wrong with a left over 2012 red40 for $130 shipped from=> :DLC Covert
    or a 2013 black60 from => DLC Covert Extreme Black60 Game Camera
    use coupon code "dhnet".

My 55 seems good. I know bad batches of cams go out with all brands.

I have never had to test Moultrie's customer service yet.

I think I may just end up flipping a coin:

    Heads - Covert Black 60
    Tails - Moultrie M990i

Sorry for the double post but...

Do you know if the coupon code dhnet is going to be working anytime soon? Can get an Extreme Black 60 for $148 which includes shipping - Trying to see if there is a coupon code to bring it down a bit more.

Battery life on my Moultrie isn't as good as Covert. Whoever said Moultrie daytime pics are grainy, I think you're mistaken. These pics are not grainy at all. And even if you are a covert fan, you can't even try to argue that covert has better ir pics than moultrie, cause they just don't.

I may just have to give Moultrie a shot. We need some Moultrie Prostaffers on this site so they can duke it out with the Covert guys.

^ I can argue that with you all day long Mitch, but I wont.

I still think my 2007 i40 takes better daytime pictures then my m80.

My red40 doesnt spook the living crap out of deer like my m80s did. Most all of the moultrie pictures you see posted the deer are looking at the camera.

Dont get my wrong, Moultrie is my 2nd favorite camera brand. ''Prostaff'' or not, I know my covert line up of cameras have better battery life, daytime pictures, and better sensing.

Almost every review I have read says Covert has roughly 1.2 sec trigger while the Moultrie M990i has a .8 sec trigger.

This sounds like/turning into a Hoyt vs. Matthews kind of thread!!

With the wide sensing are the Coverts have trigger speed is a non-issue even at 1.2 seconds.

Just an FYI as I normally stay out of these posts :D
