Black Bear or Grizzly? I harvested a black bear a few years ago using information I gathered from local fish and game plus my general knowledge of where to locate bears during our long season's in Oregon. Even then Im not sure I would have seen the bear I took if I hadn't talked to the local biologist about what they were looking for at the time in terms of food. One day, One hunt and I was packing meat out the next morning with my best friend!
My brother owns one. I bought it for him several years ago. He likes it. It's a well constructed bow. Shoots VERY well. It's fairly quiet. I can't give you an expert opinion on the bow, regarding any specifics, because he shoots left handed, and I do not. It's the entire wrong draw weight and length for me, but, I have shot it, just for fun, a couple of times. I will say that there are smoother drawing bows, out there. It's a touch on heavier side, for my taste. All in all, though, it's a very capable bow.
From what I have seen Bear bows have improved over the last few year and are great bows for what most of them run. I have not heard anything bad about them.
HA! don't I feel like the back end of a wild mule. What do they call them? oh ya, an Ass. Ha, my bad. No, I know nothing about this.
Bear makes a Quality bow, no doubt, but do Not limit yourself to one model or even one brand for that matter. Take your time in selecting a bow! Shoot everything you can get your hands on and preferrably multiple times. In the End, Let the Bow choose You!! Dan
I have a Bear Lights out that I bought 3 years ago, and I like it pretty well. I have shot 8 deer with it so far, and have no complaints. I am a fan of Bear bows
I owned a Bear Lights Out. I also owned the Bear Strike. I actually liked the Lights Out, better. I used a pretty basic set-ups on those rigs; whisker biscuit rests, basic Trophy Ridge sight....Can't complain. Did their job, very well.
