We have this freak in our local jail that is called the "East Coast Rapist". They have his DNA all over the place and is believed to have raped 17 women/girls since the 90's. He has gone from a guy who has all the power in his mind and life was great when he was raping women, to a guy who is refusing to speak with his defense attorneys and is constantly hurting himself while in jail. When he gets convicted of all those crimes, including 2 rapes of teenagers in my county, he will be in prison the rest of his life. At that point he will continue harming himself in prison and will require a large prison guard presence to make sure he doesn't kill himself. He will make life heck for all of those involved in his care. For guys like him, should we give them a chance to sign papers asking someone to put them out of their misery? If he wants to rape 17 women/girls and then wants to burden society even more by acting like a sissy once in jail by cutting on himself, then he needs to take a dirt nap.

So what do you think about possibly allowing prisoners with life sentences to "opt out" and get a little needle stick?

IMO that's the easy way out, I say let him keep hurting himself and see if he has the guts to kill himself. I bet he does not, because he's a coward.

The burden people like this put on society is crazy. The cost involved w. housing, feeding and caring for these scumbags is through the roof. I'm fine w. putting them down. I have absolutely no tolerance for people who commit violent crimes, and especially despise the repeat offender.

If it were me, I'd drop them all off on an island and let them kill each other off, Running Man style.

    That is a good point

We spend about 30 grand a prisoner and 9800 a student, seems correct:bash:

$30,000 X 30 more years of his life + healthcare costs when he develops cancer or something else later in life=1-1.5 million bucks. Here sir, sign these papers please.....inject, and be done with it. In my wildest dreams I cannot imagine why on earth we would want to keep someone living who raped and tormented 17 different women/girls in multiple states. If he wants to kill himself, hand him a knife after his sentencing and let him have at it without any medical treatment.

Free him and let the friends and relatives of the victims help assist him in that.

Hear! Hear! I second that motion. Also make Fleece his private attendant.

Put him with his own kind and be done with him.

His easy way out will be him sitting in his room by himself everyday b/c of his suicidal tendencies. I really do not care about the easy way out thing. I just want him "out" and to save a ton of money and hassle dealing with his cowardly self. I would rather put 1 million bucks in the hands of the American people.

That is what China came to the logical conclusion of as well. Plus use them for donor organs.

For noncapital offenses they could donate a single kidney or a single cornea.

For capital offenses, the whole sheebang. Heart-lung, liver, kidneys, corneas, skin tissue for viral research, everything.

This gives eye for an eye a whole new meaning in modern times.

For many of these dirt bags prison life is better than life on the streets.

In that sense, jails and prisons have actually become a reward for crime; they get room and board at least. Some get prison jobs or don't need to do anything at all the whole day long.

Corrections officers have one of the toughest jobs in society. Hang in there Shadow.

The Christianized West has always taken a very humanitarian approach to imprisonment. So I don't expect anything to change anytime soon. I don't see us moving towards a Chinese model anytime soon.

I say "put em down", but not in an easy way such as needles. Make em pay a bit for what they did. Firing squad sounds good. And I'm sure it's much cheaper.

In order to get any good use out of them, you can't poison their systems with drugs, or plaster their valuable organs with bullets.

One 22LR to the brain is all it takes, on the operating room table.

Of course, the physicians' hippocratic oath would make them all squeemish about being part of the execute-and-harvest teams.

Not very forward thinking of them unfortunately.

He won't last long in gen pop. Dirtbags like that are frequently taken care of by other prisoners.

I'll take it to the next level, not a firing squad with 1 inmate to shoot at. A 3D range with various inmates! and my new killzones are hungry!!!

Any chance we'll see this at the 2013 BH.com get together lol?
