My uncle (whom I am his only remaining family member) is very ill with multiple health problems including complete kidney shutdown and infections. I am the power of attorney for him and made the very hard choice to stop all treatment for him to let him pass as soon as possible. He has suffered enough. This was a very tough call for me as I hate attempting to play god and decide when someone should die. A decision that weighed on me heavily. The doctors say they could potentially keep him alive yet for a couple of months. The doctors give him approximately two weeks. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks.
Prayers for a pain free life the rest of the way! Prayers to all family and friends! My wife had the same duty with her mother. We did the same call after she was having really bad issues with kidney transplant to heart failure and a broken hip that needed surgery. Surgery went fine and all the meds decided to shut down her body on the drop of a dime. She would of been on life support but we can not handle that and she would not of wanted that. My heart goes out to you!
Sounds like your a great nephew and he is blessed to have you with him and praying for him during these final days.
