You want a glimpse of the power of God during war, look at WWI and what happened on Christmas Day in 1914 & 1915.

Sure did, we interpret them too. The story is God's, the words used to tell the story belong to man. Our language itself is incapable of fully telling God's story.

Then the bible can have mistakes? If so, does anyone know what the mistakes are?

Good point. I believe the Word of God is without error. I don't believe God would have let there be an error. I believe the apostles, and Paul, wrote the current Bible in the form God intended. Not just inspired, but full of the Holy Spirit.

If there is an almighty God, that made this world we see, and is infinitlely more advanced that we could imagine, I don't see it as a stretch that His will be done and His Word, is complete and without error.

I mean you see a complete tranformation of Peter, going from denying Christ 3 times, to setting the world on fire over 3 continents with the word of God and dying for Christ.

There's not too many people that struggles with that statment more than I. Non-stop, I question prayer. All the typcial questions, you have. Why? If He knows everthing, then He knows my requests and needs? If His will be done, then what does it matter?

Its a non stop fight for me.

If it is possible for the apostles, and Paul, to do what God intended is it not possible for the pope to do what God intended?

Now, your getting into deep waters that I am not equipped to even give my opinion. Predestination, and all. We are just chess pieces, and that type of thinking. And folks, its just that, an opinion. Not fact.

Sure, its possible, but I just can't see where it aligns itself with the core doctrines of the Gospels. If they did, I would say yes. But the way it is, you got the crusades, and spanish inquisitions. I went to catholic schools, so I know a thing or two about it.

I am not sure even I do. But we are just talking. Looks like I may have offended some. Got a PM or two. So I am going to leave the conversation to others.

BC, your posts did not offend anyone and you should not be censored. I enjoy your thoughts.

BC? Offended someone with this conversation? geesh

Offense usually stems from conviction, and conviction always leads to confrontation. Confrontation should lead to repentance in most cases, but sadly, it all to often leads to offensiveness.

Whatever you do, don't let a few censor you. YOUR views are more than welcomed on any thread I start. I started this one seeking them.

    Thanks.

I'm trying really hard to be offended by what BC has said so far, but no luck.

Maybe whoever disagreed with something he said could come on here and speak up instead of whispering in the shadows.

Don't go anywhere BC. I don't see any posts by anyone in this thread that would be worthy of moderation.

If you're offended by someones posts (and they are not morally or blatantly racist or otherwise in really, really poor taste which bigcountries were not) - you have the power resident in your mouse to not choose this thread.

Like others said - man up and put your opinion in the thread if you are so bothered.
